Star in Your Own Movie - Complete Package
Star in your very own short film.
Written and directed by Neil Schell your movie will make your work stand out. You will also be the Producer and therefore the owner of the film.
You will be portraying a character you were born to play in a story that you love. Your movie will travel around the world in festivals and on social media platforms.
Paying someone to shoot demo reel footage for you has its plus points. Before you do that, I highly suggest you take the route of owning your own short film. Not only will there be a story that an audience will want to watch but there will also be superior footage for your demo reel since your movie will be made to professional standards. It will not "feel" like "made for a demo" footage at all but genuine movie footage.
Advantages of an actor producing a short film:
1) You will own the movie that can be submitted to film festivals around the world.
2) Your short film can be expanded into a major motion picture screenplay that you own.
3) Your feature film screenplay can be pitched using your short film as a proof of concept that not only sells your movie idea but you as the star of that movie.
4) You are not waiting around to land a lead role or large supporting role in a movie or TV series so you can play a part that shows how good your acting is. By purchasing this package and completing all the work as guided by Neil Schell, you will take action and have that role on film for you to leverage to your next role.
5) Through the action of producing your own film, you will gain knowledge and appreciation of the filmmaking process and a greater understanding of the movie industry.
6) Your appreciation and understanding of the crew and all they do rises to a new height and everyone in the industry will see it has and sense it in you.
7) Those who do casting, those who direct and those who produce have a deep admiration for anyone who makes a movie. It's like you enter this club for filmmakers and people are more willing to work with you and therefore cast you.
8) A feeling of accomplishment as an actor because you did not wait to be given permission to do.
9) A genuine increase in confidence built on your accomplishment rather than a feigned confidence that is so easy to see through.

Neil Schell will personally mentor you through all the stages of this process which he has successfully done with several actor clients.
STAGE 1 - YOUR BEST CHARACTER TO PLAY
Full interview and assessment of your acting skills and your character qualities.
This is done by Neil having a thorough look into your past work as an actor. He will review your current demo reel if you have one and ask a series of questions to find out what characters you have played that you just know you were born to play. If you haven't played such a character, he will put you through a process to discover what character would that be and in what kind of a story.
Overall, this stage could take a couple of weeks or more which would include at least two zoom meetings between us.
STAGE 2 - SCREENPLAY
This stage is all about story ideas that can fit your budget. Knowing who this central character is based on the work done in Stage 1, a basic plot or storyline can be sketched out at this stage.
Budgets are also reviewed so the screenplay is written within the limits of it.
The screenplay is written by me (or you under my guidance) and approved by you the producer.
STAGE 3 - BUDGET
The screenplay is broken down into characters, locations and props. From this breakdown a budget is made based on accurate estimates with a 10% contingency added on which is standard practice for any film.
If necessary, the script is adjusted to fit the budget that is available. You will be guided on what the key crew are to hire and given tips on how to negotiate their fees.
If funding for the budget has to be raised, Neil will guide you on what steps to take to find the money you need.
STAGE 4 - PRE-PRODUCTION
Neil will guide you on how to execute the pre-production stage of shooting your movie. Since he will be directing, he will be an integral part of the process at this stage. This is where casting will be done, locations found and a shoot date scheduled.
A comprehensive list of what crew you need to hire is drawn out with subsequent interviews and hiring.
STAGE 5 - THE SHOOT
You will have hired a competent crew and, most importantly, a production manager who can manage all the logistics and any problems that arise so you can focus purely on acting and giving it your all.
Neil handles the crew and the creativity as the director while your production manager handles the production side of things.
STAGE 6 - POST PRODUCTION
Neil will do the edit of your film. There is no one better to do the edit than the writer/director of your film. Of course, you will be the one to give final approval. This stage is to put together the story with maximum impact on the audience.
Neil will then collaborate with the musician for the final music and the sound engineer for the sound design.
Grading will also be done at the stage (colour correction) to make the film look aesthetically pleasing.
STAGE 7 - DISTRIBUTION
Advice will be given on what film festivals to submit to in relation to what your objective is for your movie. Since pretty much every city in the world has a film festival, it's good to know which ones really count in terms of visibility and the genre of your movie.
STAGE 8 - THE SERIES OR MOVIE PITCH
At this stage Neil will advise you on how to create a pitch document that drives you toward your goal with your film whether it be a series or a feature film. Advice on who to contact and how to contact them will be done as well.
If this seems like a lot of work, it is. Nothing worth doing is ever easy. But with guidance from someone who has been down this road before you, major pitfalls will be avoided and successes will be accomplished.
Take action and invest in your career.
