Hello and welcome to the Basics of All Basics Course for Actors. So you want to be an actor. I hear you. I remember going through that many years ago and the desire and the, the possibility that it could happen to me, that I could make it as an actor. was very strong and very exciting. But also at the same time it seemed like, wow, is this, is this really possible, this sort of a, a bit of a self doubt that came in, at least for me, and maybe that's true for you.

So this course is really about how to eliminate that self-doubt and start to work on the right things that actually can get you in front of the camera on a project that'll be in the movie theaters or on TV that your friends and family can watch and go, yeah, hey, you did it. Not only that, it could lead you to much bigger things than that as well.

And the reason why I'm doing this is because... well, I don't want people to go through what I went through. Put it that way. And this course will put you on the right path quickly without trial and error and wasting time and getting frustrated and trying other things. .
I, I even tried to forget about acting. I tried to squish it, squash it, kill it by doing other things, getting into other work that was completely the opposite. None of that worked because that desire, that thing inside me told me I had to do it. It just would not go away. 

So I had to take action. And, you are probably at that place too.

You need to take action.

So when I started, I knew absolutely nothing. I mean, well, that's not true. I, I did know actors had to memorize lines and of course, you know. Having a little bit of apprehension about memorizing coming from high school and university, it wasn't like my favorite thing to do. Maybe it's not yours either.

Some people are naturally very good at it, but memorizing for acting is not like memorizing for school. I, I wanna make that clear. They're not the same. And in fact, they're not even really related in any way. Especially about how you go about doing it. So I thought I knew that, which I didn't really know exactly.

And you could be probably in that same boat and, and you know, the courses I have now and the way I teach actors over these last couple decades is that memorizing is really, really not the top priority at all and it's, it's way down there and it's not even really memorizing as you would know it now. So I really didn't know anything to be quite honest.
So I, I'm giving you this, this course for free because I remember being in that place. I didn't know, really, what to do, and I don't want you to waste time, get frustrated, quit, go off and do other things, and then come back again and go, wow, I wish I would've done that earlier. So this course is for you for free.

I want you to really pursue your dreams and make them come true. Because there's nothing, nothing that can compare to actually landing that role, working with some great actors and being on that big screen. You can't buy that. Honestly, you cannot.
